                                        DEFINITION

           Under direction, to act as leadperson of a small party of Snow
           Gaugers and to assist in locating, laying out and measuring snow
           courses, depth and water content of snow, and in recording climatic
           conditions during storms; to prepare reports; and to do other related
           work.


                                  MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

           Ability to read and write, to follow oral and written directions, and
           to direct the work of others.
