  We are pleased to forward the Exempt Salary Chart showing 
  the new exempt levels as of the close of business June 30, 
  1999.  The chart is also available on the Department of 
  Personnel Administration's web site http://www.dpa.ca.gov 
  on the Personnel Information Exchange (PIE).
  
  The chart shows the full salary range and does not include 
  the voluntary 5 percent salary reduction asked of most of 
  the Governor's appointees.
