SUBJECT:  SOUTHWEST REGIONAL TRAINING CENTER


          This communication supersedes PML Memorandum 94-64 dated November 29, 1994.   

  The Department of Personnel Administration has been informed by the Department of
  Rehabilitation that the Southwest Regional Training Center is now "in complete
  compliance" with the physical accessibility requirements of the Americans with
  Disability Act.  Specifically, the training center has installed a wheelchair ramp and
  designated parking spaces for people with disabilities.
  
  Therefore, departments are free to use Southwest Regional Training Center as an
  out-service training provider.  Training Officers are still cautioned verify the physical
  accessibility of any facilities used for state sponsored training programs, conferences
  and meetings to ensure that the special needs of disabled employees are fully
  addressed.
