Changes have been made to the fee structures for the following programs administered by DPA. Workers' Compensation and Safety Program (WCSP) The WCSP program became fully reimbursable as of 7-1-93. Prior to April 1, 1994, fees were allocated to departments on a "pro-rata" basis. Effective 4-1-94, fees will be calculated on a percentage of workers' compensation costs. WCSP fees will be assessed once each fiscal year beginning with FY 1993-94. Merit Award Program The Merit Award Program is fully reimbursable and fees will be assessed once each year. Departments will be charged $1.80 annually for each permanent employee. Fees for FY 1993-94 were assessed in April , 1994. Part-Time, Seasonal/Temporary Retirement Program (PST) Effective April 1, 1994, the fee has been reduced from $4.75 to $4.25 per deduction. FlexElect (Premium-Only-Plan) (POP) Fees will be reduced from $4.20 to $2.40 per year. State Employee Assistance Program (EAP) Fees will be increased by $.60 (from $1.20 to $1.80 per covered employee). Agencies with Peace Officer/Firefighter employees (BU 5,6,7,8) will have a premium decrease in FY 94-95. Agencies with miscellaneous employees will have a slight increase in premiums for FY 94-95 which would return them to the premium costs of FY 92-93.
