Employees shall be entitled to the following holidays: Monday, July 5, 1993 Independence Day Monday, September 6, 1993 Labor Day Monday, October 11, 1993 Columbus Day Thursday, November 11, 1993 Veterans Day Thursday, November 25, 1993 Thanksgiving Day Friday, November 26, 1993 Day after Thanksgiving * Saturday, December 25, 1993 Christmas Day * Saturday, January 1, 1994 New Year's Day Monday, January 17, 1994 Martin Luther King Jr. Day * Saturday, February 12, 1994 Lincoln's Birthday Monday, February 21, 1994 Washington's Birthday Monday, May 30, 1994 Memorial Day * The Saturday holiday provision is contained in Management Memo 93-01 which provides clarification on how this holiday provision will be administered. In addition to these holidays, there is one personal holiday per fiscal year for excluded employees. To be eligible for a personal holiday an employee must be appointed to a class which requires a probationary period. Once an eligible employee completes six months of their initial probationary period, they are credited with a personal holiday for the current fiscal year. The personal holiday for all other eligible employees will be credited on the first day of July for each fiscal year. Holiday provisions for represented employees covered by collective bargaining agreements are authorized in the appropriate Memorandum of Understanding.
