  This revision contains changes to the Out-of-Class section 
  of the Classification and Compensation Manual.  These 
  changes are a result of collective bargaining and 
  modifications to the Memorandum of Understanding between 
  Employee Organizations and the State of California.  There 
  are also significant changes to out-of-class assignments 
  for managerial employees.  This personnel management 
  liaison memorandum (PML) replaces PML 2001-016 on Out-of-
  Class Assignment - Managerial.
  
  Please duplicate and distribute the changes to all holders 
  of the Classification and Pay Guide in your department.  
  The revision record in Section 3 should be completed after 
  insertion of the changes.
