  The purpose of this memorandum is to notify departments 
  that the section of the "Disability Leave Manual" on 
  Pregnancy Disability Leave has been revised.  
  
  In the future, all revisions to the "Disability Leave 
  Manual" will be made to the manual online; we will not 
  issue PMLs announcing such changes.  Each section of the 
  online manual will state the revision date in parenthesis 
  underneath the section header. To access the manual, go to 
  DPA's website at www.dpa.ca.gov, click on Publications/For 
  Personnel Offices & Supervisors, then scroll down to the 
  link.
  
  As a reminder, this manual is a guide only and should not 
  be used as a final authority.  Always check with your 
  department's internal specialist and other resources before 
  taking action with an employee.
