  Name Change for the DentiCare Dental Plan

  This memorandum contains important information regarding 
  the company name change for the DentiCare of California 
  Dental Plan (DentiCare).
  
  DentiCare has changed its company name to Health Net Dental 
  effective April 19, 2002.  Although DentiCare will now be 
  called Health Net Dental:
  
  Personnel offices and employees will still be able to use supplies 
  of current Evidence of Coverage booklets and brochures.
  
  There will be no changes to benefits for employees 
  enrolled in either the Standard or Enhanced plans under 
  the State's program, so this change has no impact on 
  employees' dental coverage.
  
  Employees will still be able to see their current 
  DentiCare dentists. Participating dentists are being 
  informed of this change and will accept either the 
  employee's Denticare or Health Net Dental identification 
  card.
  
  
  
  
  
  DentiCare will continue to use its current stock of 
  Evidence of Coverage booklets and identification cards 
  until stock is depleted.  New materials published by Health 
  Net Dental will have the new company name and logo on them.  
  
  Effective June 1, 2002, employees' pay warrant stubs will 
  reflect the new Health Net Dental name in the deductions 
  section as "HLTHNET DNT."
  
  In May, employees enrolled in DentiCare will receive a 
  Member Bulletin from DentiCare advising them of the new 
  company name and that there are no changes to benefits or 
  dentists currently available under the plan.
