  The Department of Personnel Administration had planned to 
  develop an improved Career Executive Assignment database 
  that would eliminate the need for departments to provide 
  annual reports.  However, this project was placed on hold 
  due to the creation of the 21st Century Project, which will 
  fulfill this need.
  
  It will be necessary, therefore, for departments to submit 
  the CEA Annual Reports by October 1, 2000.  Please use the 
  attached form to submit the report.
