We benchmarked the journey level, except for Research Scientist IV (Epidemiology/Biostatistics), which is advanced journey.
For the Environmental Scientist and Chemist classifications, Range C is the State's journey level.
We didn't benchmark the Biologist classification because it isn't used in the surveyed jurisdictions. We did benchmark Environmental Scientist.
By mutual agreement between CAPS and DPA, we didn't include the California State University System and private sector employers in this survey.
