The California Citizens Compensation Commission will hold its next meeting:

The California Constitution requires the Commission to meet by June 30 of each year to decide what, if any, changes should be made to the salaries and benefits of the
- Governor,
- Lieutenant Governor,
- Attorney General,
- Secretary of State,
- Controller,
- Treasurer,
- Insurance Commissioner,
- Superintendent of Public Instruction,
- Members of the Board of Equalization, and
- State Legislators.
Its decisions at the upcoming meeting take effect in December 2008.
The Commission was established in June 1990 through the voters' passage of Proposition 112. All of its meetings are public.
The agenda for the upcoming meeting is as follows:
- Approval of summary minutes from the April 22, 2008, Commission meeting.
- Opening comments by Commission members.
- Staff reports, as requested by Commission.
- Public testimony on the salaries and benefits of elected State officers.
- Commission discussion and vote on State officer salaries and benefits.
To accommodate as many people as possible during the public testimony portion of this meeting, the Commission asks that persons wishing to testify do the following:
- Schedule testimony in advance by calling the contact person listed below.
- Limit testimony to five to seven minutes.
- Submit any detailed data or information in writing. Eight copies would be appreciated.
