Leadership Training
The "Leadership for the Government Executive" program honored its first 48 graduates in a ceremony (804 KB PDF) held July 13 at Sacramento State University.
The program was launched last November to offer professional development for the next generation of California State government leaders. Participants, drawn from the State's executive and management ranks, receive training in key leadership skills ranging from managing organizational change to building a service culture.
The graduates and their department affiliation are listed below.
Speakers at the graduation ceremony included the three program sponsors - State and Consumer Services Agency Undersecretary Will Bush, State Chief Information Officer J. Clark Kelso, and Department of Personnel Administration Director David Gilb. California State University runs the program as part of its College of Continuing Education.
