Forum Review Notes

Mark McKissock, Claims Operations Manager ~ North, shared the latest news from State Contract Claims. He announced that imaged correspondence is coming to State Contract Offices beginning with Oxnard. (See subsequently issued PML 2008-024 for details.) Mark also introduced the following new Claims Managers:

• Beverly Harris (Commerce), Evadne Swift (Oxnard),
• Jeanne Sandford (Riverside) and
• Marie Tillman (Sacramento). It was a pleasure to meet women and hear their SCIF histories.

We had two other interesting subjects on the agenda:

• AMA Guides (5^th Edition) to the evaluation of permanent impairment presented by Leslie Lasnik, Assistant Claims Manager from the Rohnert Park Office.

• Medicare Set Aside presented by Jeff Corderman, Assistant Claims Manager from the Rohnert Park Office with input from Felicia Rosales, Supervisor of the Catastrophic Claims Unit from the Monterey Park Office of Claims Rehab, and Barbara Fairchild, Senior Account Executive from NuQuest Bridge Pointe.
