CALIFORNIA WELLNESS INFORMATION NETWORK (Cal-WIN) -- 1990

Cal-WIN, a nonprofit organization, was initially founded in 1990. Cal-WIN was established to provide a networking forum primarily for state government representatives to learn about developing, implementing, coordinating work site wellness activities, and to promote the establishment of a wellness program for all state employees. Approximately 90 percent of the current membership represents state and local government, with the remainder of the membership from the private sector or student interns. The organization currently meets monthly in Sacramento. A representative of Cal-WIN serves as member of the Committee.
